What Causes Pimples?

by Kate

I thought to give the topic of organic products a break and focus on the cause of pimples. Even when you have the best skin care product, if your habits lead to pimple formation, all your efforts will be in vain.

So what are the causes of pimples?

  1. Genes- Even when you take so much care of your skin, there is a tendency that your genes may be responsible for your skin nightmares. If this is the case, it is important that you seek out the help of a dermatologist. It is possible that your parents have overly oily skin, and these leads to the constant formation of pimples on your face.
  2. Dirt- Wash your face daily, but habitually touch your face with dirty hands and you will surely end up with a lot of pimples. Avoid touching your face, especially when you just came from touching different surfaces.
  3. Food- There are some food that cause pimples. They don’t directly produce pimples, but instead, promote the formation of oil on your face as well as hormonal imbalance, which tends to block the pores and eventually, pimples. Avoid food such as chips, cookies, chocolates, cakes, fast food burgers and fries, and other junk foods.
  4. Stress- If you no longer have any hormonal imbalance, and keep your skin clean at all times, then maybe it’s about time you stop worrying so much about your skin. Stress cause pimples.

There are more causes of pimples and it would highly depend on your skin type, genes and a lot more. What you really need to remember is that avoiding pimples means giving your skin the best health care possible. The healthier the skin, the better it will look.
