I thought to give the topic of organic products a break and focus on the cause of pimples. Even when you have the best skin care product, if your habits lead to pimple formation, all your efforts will be in vain.

So what are the causes of pimples?

Genes- Even when you take so much care of your skin, there is a tendency that your genes may be responsible for your skin nightmares. If this is the case, it is important that you seek out the help of a dermatologist. It is possible that your parents have overly oily skin, and these leads to the constant formation of pimples on your face.

Dirt- Wash your face daily, but habitually touch your face with dirty hands and you will surely end up with a lot of pimples. Avoid touching your face, especially when you just came from touching different surfaces.

Food- There are some food that cause pimples. They don’t directly produce pimples, but instead, promote the formation of oil on your face as well as hormonal imbalance, which tends to block the pores and eventually, pimples. Avoid food such as chips, cookies, chocolates, cakes, fast food burgers and fries, and other junk foods.

Stress- If you no longer have any hormonal imbalance, and keep your skin clean at all times, then maybe it’s about time you stop worrying so much about your skin. Stress cause pimples.

There are more causes of pimples and it would highly depend on your skin type, genes and a lot more. What you really need to remember is that avoiding pimples means giving your skin the best health care possible. The healthier the skin, the better it will look.

Dead Sea Salt is one of the ideas added to the already complicated world of skin care. So, do they work? Yes they do.

Several studies have already been made on the benefits that dead sea salt can give to the skin. Several studies have concluded, that it’s so good for the skin, it can even be used for treatment for psoriasis. It is highly effective for improving dry skin. The probable reason for this is the magnesium, bromide, and other counter ions that are contained in Dead Sea Salt.

There are several dead sea salt products that are available on the market. I have yet to look into their effectivity, however, I will be posting it once I have the answer. Here are the most popular dead sea salt products I found:

* Masada Bath Salts, Dead Sea Mineral
* AHAVA Dead Sea Bath Salts Bath Minerals And Salts
* Masada Bath Salts, Refreshing Rain Forest, Dead Sea Mineral
* Seacret Dead Sea Salt & Oil Scrub Lemongrass Scent
* Village Naturals Bath Shoppe English Lavender Body Soak
* AHAVA Pure Spa Dead Sea Mineral Mud
* Dead Sea Salt
* Masada Mineral Herb Spa Whole Salts, Stress Relief, Valerian & Kava Kava with Orange Peel

There are several types of jobs that require you to be up during the wee hours of the evening. It’s awful. Not only do you need to alter your circadian rhythm, or biological clock, but it also stresses out your skin. One of the things that I really hate are dark circles around the eyes. It takes several applications of concealer to totally hide these discolorations.

So, what’s a girl, or guy got to do? If you absolutely cannot avoid sleeping late, then you should back up with loads of vitamins. Wait, vitamins are so you don’t get sick right? Well not really. Aside from making you healthy, or your skin supple, there is also a certain vitamin that can help you get rid of those dark circles. That is Vitamin K.

Vitamin K can defend your body as well as skin, against discoloration. It can also be useful to lessen spider veins because it reduces blood clots which is the leading cause of spider veins as well as dark circles around the eyes.

If you want a natural way to get that sleepless look of your face, get a healthy dose of daily Vitamin K!

Hi Everyone! I can hardly contain my excitement. I’ve been reading through the forums I participate in, and I didn’t realize how many women and men out there are looking for reviews on organic skin care. And so, last night, I gave it some thought and decided, I can do this.

I’ve tried a lot of skin care products out there, some organic, and a lot of chemical based products. I’ve felt how my face reacted to these products and I thought, boy if someone would only tell me what actually worked or not, I wouldn’t have wasted thousands of dollars on skin care products that just caused havoc on my skin.

I’m going to post organic skin care reviews every Friday. As of the moment, I’m still making a list on which products I’m going to review, so I may start this next week. Tomorrow is just too early.

If you have any requests, or skin care products you would like me to review, feel free to comment and I’ll see what I can do about it. In the mean time, here are the three products I’m considering reviewing:

Sea Moss with Sea Kelp Soap and Cocoa Butter

L’or de la Mer Organic Anti Cellulite Body Blaster Scrub with Seaweed

Seaweed Night Creme with Kona Coffee

How do those three sound to you?

Alcohol has existed in skin care products for many years already to the point that it seems like they are treated as a requirement. However, they are notorious for causing dryness as well as irritations.

Alcohols alone can bring about awful impact on the skin because it dilates the blood vessels and thus, interfere with our skin’s processing of Vitamin A. When there is a reduction of absorbed Vitamin A, there is an acceleration of premature aging that causes wrinkles and fine lines to be more visible on the skin. This goes the same for alcohol which is consumed. It increases flushing of the skin, thus decreasing the absorption and efficacy of Vitamin A. it also increases the toxicity of Vitamin A and carotene.

Even some moisturizers contain alcohol which defeats the entire purpose of moisturizing your skin. The alcohol content makes the other ingredients quickly evaporate from the skin surface. Here is a list of alcohol that one should avoid:

ethanol,

ethyl alcohol,

denatured alcohol,

methanol,

benzyl alcohol,

methyl alcohol,

isopropyl alcohol,

and SD alcohol.

Be wary of what you put on your skin. The products may just be nullifying what they are supposed to produce on your skin, and is thus a waste of money. What’s worse is that they can actually damage your skin in the long run, requiring you to spend even more for repairs.
To ensure that your skin care product does not contain any harmful ingredients, it would be best to look for the USDA organic seal. There are products like Indian Meadows Herbals and Lily Organics that proudly displays their USDA seal. This seal is proof there are no synthetic materials used during production and that they are certified organic skin care.

And remember, the more USDA seals, the better.
