Babies are adorable. In fact, one of women’s greatest wish would be to have skin as soft as a babies. However, there is a reason behind that gorgeous skin. It’s still fresh, new and, susceptible to irritation from harsh chemicals. This is why some baby lotions don’t even have fragrances right? But not all of them.

So, do you know what’s in your baby’s skin care lotion? You would be surprised and terrified at the same time.

Formaldehyde: A chemical that has been known to cause skin rashes and allergic reactions to people with sensitive skin
and babies. Formaldehyde can be absorbed through the skin when using personal care products containing it.

Allergy Show

I’m really sad that I didn’t get to find this earlier, but better late than never right?

We should really learn from each other. Our friends from Europe for example, had an excellent idea of having an Allergy Show. Imagine all the antihistamines we could have saved if we had one like this in the US. It features not only Dermatologist experts, but also dieticians, consultant allergists, respiratory specialists, and gastroenterologists.

Aside from getting expert advice about allergies and avoiding them, you can also exchange recipes or brands. I believe it’s a really enlightening experience, I would love to have attended.

It may be just vanity, but that doesn’t mean we can’t care for anything else right? Take the environment for example. There are tons of chemicals in the products that we use everyday. And lately, there have been studies conducted about the amount of pollution that are caused by cosmetics. They go to the water and contaminate it. In fact, recently a report by the Environmental Working Group (EWG ) claimed that 95 percent of the waterways in the San Francisco Bay area are contaminated with hormone disrupting substances that can be traced to personal care products. These chemicals are found to have altered the hormones of sea creatures.

The City Skin, Is There Such a Category?

When people think of the city, some may imagine late hours, smoke, unhealthy food, minimal exercise time, and a stressful lifestyle. And it shows on your skin.
